The Best of Never Again Vol 1

As an AOPA member and a private pilot I find these types of stories both interesting and useful as I'd rather learn from the mistakes of other rather than make them myself.
When I saw on an email from AOPA that they were to issue these going back over fifty years as an ebook I thought great.
$7.99 if bought from AOPA or $9.99 if bought from online stores - not being too clever with computers I opted for a purchase from Amazon via my usual 3G connection on the Kindle. The first sign that something was wrong was the charge was $11.99 rather than $9.99, but what the heck I am going to get lots of the reprint articles and $11.99 is not bad for such a book no matter how one looks at it.
So downloaded, started reading - and here the rub - less than an hour later finished - I thought I must have downloaded the preview rather then the book, but no I have the whole thing - no, I am not a speed reader - this "ebook" is rather short more of an "epamphlet".
The content was fine but I would not have bought the book had I known how short it was - the price is too high, it shoul;d be pitched at Kindle Single price levels.
I note the "Vol 1" my guess is that many volumes will follow buy them all and it will cost hundreds of dollars by the time one is done.
The only time in dealing with AOPA and Amazon that I feel truly ripped-off - if I knew how I would return the wretched thing and demand my money back.

The book is useful

An underlining of what all pilots should practice.. There are a few interesting stories,but for the most part it made me say, "what was that guy thinking?" which may be needed by some of the pilots that are out there. We have all had mechancical failures of one sort or another, or you soon will; be ready for it when you least expect it.
