Great material for studying the US participation in the Great War. lots of photos and maps - including several detailed fold-outs. It's really great stuff. The only reason that I'm not giving five stars is that the book came from a smoking environment and STINKS! It really reeks. I'm not sure what it will take to air it out.

For serious WWI study or for reference to lacte where relatives served

This book is quite helpful when trying to locate battlefields for specific divisions etc of the AEF. I was able to show a close friend where his G'dad fought near Leper ( Belgian spelling). I had walked the ground before - it was cool to know I was in the same area as his G'dad.
