I love Rose

This is my all-time favorite book series by Denise Grover Swank. I can assure you book 1 will draw you in. The mystery. The characters. The plot. A little southern version of murder she wrote meets nancy drew for 2013. Rose isn't your average girl like you think. Her life is pretty extraordinary. In book 1 you get to find out a little about her and her background. In book 2 you become vested, wanting to know more, and the suspense is amazing. DGS is a skillful author; she knows exactly what she is doing. From making a list on a walmart receipt to serving a jury. You will not be disappointed in this series. I can assure you, book 3 will keep you wanting for more. Once you done with them the novella is a nice little surprise from Denise. and once done with the box set, don't forget book four (31 and half regrets is now available from a January release) Happy Reading!!

Surprisingly engrossing

I really like this series and I'm looking forward to the third book. Rose is a different kind of character and I enjoy seeing how her mind works and how she handles new situations.

Unlike some of the reviewers in the reviews of the second book as sold individually, I actually liked the second in this series better than the first. I had a rough start with the first book because of the horrible way Rose's mother treated her and the way she just took it. Fortunately that only lasted briefly and then I slowly really got into it. I'm glad I kept going.

**Spoilers**
Although I like Joe and Rose together, I was really happy to see some legitimate potential competition arive for Rose's affection with Mason. Joe seems to be moving into controlling boyfriend territory and after all she's been through, Rose needs to be free to do her own thing without having to report to someone or worry about pleasing someone else for a little while. Mason is definitely able to get to her, although she's too inexperienced to realize exactly what her annoyance with him means. I'm hoping that relationship is explored in greater depth in future installments.

A Wonderful Read!!

I rarely post reviews on books because i read so much. Every once in a while i find a book i have to post something about. This is one of them. This is the first time i have read this author and i really enjoyed these books. I read them all in one night staying up until 2:30 in the morning cause i could not put them down. I pretty much cried all the way thru the novella. The books are so well written you feel like you know the characters personally. I cannot wait to read the next one. I am not going to give any description of the book here because that's done by amazon. You don't want to spoil the books. I just wanted to say what good books they were and encourage more to read them. :-)

Perfect for Self Improvement and Intamacy with God

I am college student, and was looking for something short but also personal. "Trusting God Day by Day" offers a verse, a short summary, and a challenge for you to reflect on. I have only read about a months worth of devotionals, but this book seems to encourage tackling negativity and guilt. I highly recommend this book for someone who wants to work on becoming more positive and understand God's grace more intimately.

Excellent! Down to earth devotionals reminding me that Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not a church. Many churches do not address real life issues, Joyce Meyers reminds us that God meets us where we are; in our home, in our workplace, and through every second of our own lives, with our own real ups and downs. I've heard about trusting the Lord all my life but still felt I had to measure up . This Joyce Meyer book reminded me that God doesn't want m to fit in, he wants me to follow him! Thank you Joyce Meyers!

I was very disappointed with the writing style of this book

I was very disappointed with the writing style of this book. It sounded a bit closed minded and condescending. The tone just rubbed me the wrong way. It actually made me feel worse rather than uplift me spiritually. I don't feel this book is right for me. I wish I could return it. Also, listing a Bible verse as a reference but not stating what the verse says is so unhelpful.

For any Edgar Rice Burroughs fan this is an awesome collection. It gives a sampling of many of his books rather than just one series but doesn't leave you wishing for the next one when the last book leaves you with questions because they include the next one. The only questionable part is that the ones that are series are not consecutive. On the other hand you may like the fact that you do not have to read through two or more of the same series without a break.

An Excellent Edgar Rice Burroughs collection for the Kindle

I've read many of Burrough's novels in my youth, and since beginning to use the Kindle I've sought out inexpensive collections of classic novels, both to fill my Kindle with reading material as well as give me the opportunity to re-discover stories that provided me with so much enjoyment many years ago.

This Edgar Rice Burroughs collection is as fine as any I've come across for the Kindle - very nicely produced, with a very generous collection of works, full tables of contents, and with no problems that I've discovered. It includes all of the Burroughs works presently available in the US under Public Domain (the remaining works continue to be protected under Copyright laws - see dates of publication of each work in the listing below).

The 24 novels included in this collection are drawn mostly from Burroughs most well-known series, but there are a few that I had not heard of previously, so another feature of this collection is that it gives the reader who knows Burroughs from the Tarzan or Mars novels the opportunity to sample some of his other work. I'm looking forward to reading these myself.

Although the novels contained in this collection are listed on the Amazon page already, I thought that I'd elaborate further since the stories included in this collection belong to several series written by Burroughs over the course of his life, and with the exception of the Caspak Series they have included only the first few books in each of Burroughs major series (again presumably due to Copyright protection, which is why none from the Venus series were able to be included).

What I would still like to see is a collection of the later Burroughs stories made available for the Kindle in a nice package as we have here, or complete collections for each of his series. Those collections will need to be sold for a higher price in order to cover the cost for licensing fees but I'm sure that fans of Burroughs would gladly pay a reasonable amount in order to get complete collections that are nicely put together for the Kindle. (This has apparently been done for the Tarzan books - see link below - and the selling price is very inexpensive. So perhaps one of the Kindle publishers will eventually offer the Mars, Venus, and Pellucidar series in complete editions. One can only hope!).

So, with the hope that it is helpful to understand what is provided, here is a detailed listing of the various series of books as well as short stories written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, not intended to be fully comprehensive but covering the major works and showing everything included with this collection (dates of original publication taken from Wikipedia):
